Genoa Construction Services is a full service general contractor headquartered in Atlanta, GA that operates regularly in 24 states. Being highly relationship oriented, the company has enjoyed a diverse and loyal following of clients from a variety of backgrounds, sizes, locations, missions, needs, and demands. Our ongoing attention to this diverse group and our commitment to meeting their wide spectrum of needs has resulted in 31 years of nearly 90% repeat business. Typical project sizes are in the $500,000 to $42,000,000 range, and are almost evenly split between renovation and new construction. The company has always been well capitalized and financially strong with ample bonding capacity. We believe in a high level of service, and that the construction process should be a pleasurable one.

Ray D. Moses – Owner/President

Ray brings to his team a strong and successful background of client relations management and general operations experience. Noted for his ability to identify and assess the specific needs of our clients before, during and after a project, Ray utilizes a very professional and personable approach to ensure that these needs are met. Ray believes in taking innovative and creative approaches to customer satisfaction, quality assurance, and general business practices.

During his 35 years in the construction business, Ray has been involved in the construction of a wide variety of projects totaling more than $1 billion. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia. Ray helped start Genoa Construction in 1993.


Kevin McSherry, LEED AP – Managing Director/Senior Vice President

Kevin has 30 years of experience in the construction business. He is a graduate of Seton Hall University. Kevin has experience in a wide range of projects including banking, hospitals, medical offices, schools, offices, churches, retail, parking structures, industrial and multi-unit residential. He brings a strong team aspect to his projects with his personable approach. Kevin is a true believer in building relationships, as shown by his high volume of repeat clients.


Jason Allinson, LEED AP – Vice President/Senior Manager

Jason has 30 years of construction experience. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University’s Building Construction and Contracting Program. His project experience includes historic renovations, institutional projects, office buildings, specialty work, and light industrial. Jason has a reputation for being team oriented and customer satisfaction driven. Being detail oriented, organized and highly skilled with complex projects and unforeseen issues, he is a valuable asset to have working on any project. Clients that work with Jason always demand him in subsequent projects.


Steven Lathem, CPA  – Chief Financial Officer

Steven has 19 years of experience in auditing and consulting with businesses in the construction industry. He utilizes this background to oversee the accounting and treasury functions at Genoa. Prior to joining Genoa, Steven was a Senior Manager with the accounting firm, Moore Colson. Steven received his Bachelor in Business Administration and Master of Accountancy degrees from the University of Georgia and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia.
